Now open for Entry

The ICE London Merit Award is a celebration of outstanding civil engineering achievement in the London region. In existence for well over a decade, past winners have helped to promote excellence in the civil engineering profession by virtue of their physical achievement, innovation and ingenuity.

How to enter

Relating to projects substantially completed during the 2008 calendar year, the deadline for entry for the 2009 Merit Awards is 19 December 2008.

Entry packs can be downloaded from the Awards section.

Showcase awards event

Winners will be announced at ICE London’s inaugural Merit Award showcase event on February 26th 2009 at The Transport Museum, Covent Garden, London. This lunchtime event will give entrants excellent networking opportunities and the ability to showcase their projects and capabilities to a broad civil engineering audience and the media.

ICE London supports and represents the 7,500 ICE members residing and working across the area of the Greater London Authority (32 London Boroughs and the City of London), providing a forum for the exchange of specialist knowledge and best practice, and promoting their contribution to society.

The Region offers comprehensive support for all those seeking membership and is actively engaged with schools, colleges and Universities throughout the city. Our annual programme of events and activities are steered and undertaken by the Regional Committee and its subcommittees, which includes a very active Graduates & Students Committee. All our committee members are volunteers, working closely with the Regional Support Team to effectively encourage innovation and excellence in the profession.

ICE London can provide authoritative, objective comment on any issue relating to engineering and infrastructure in London. If you work in the media or government, contact us
